Circulation Management Releases 2008’s Best Performing List

Circulation Management, the trade-pub for magazine publishers released the top performing rentable lists of the 2008.
They based their ratings on what marketers found to be the best lists by
- Does it tend to have high response rates?
- Does it all for robust segmentation?
- Does it tend to allow for converting new customers with a reasonable budget?
All critical questions for us direct marketers.
The Grand Prize winner for consumer lists was the Harvard Health Publications lists. It has a big baby-boomer population, 450,000 actives sourced 100% through direct mail.
Two other explosive direct marketing favorites made the consumer top list as well, Boardroom Book Buyers and Rodale Whole Life Bookbuyers/DVD masterfile.
The top magazine list was Martha Stewart’s Living partly because it allows for extreme segementation and targeting. And with 1.2 million names it’s looking pretty.
The top rated B2B list was Sales & Marketing Management an email list of 62,000 rigorously qualified executive-level decisions makers.
