I’ve got a ton of respect for Michael Masteron, the man who took Agora Publishing from $8 million to $300 + million. And that’s after he helped build another $100 million business.
Recently he, and MaryEllen Tribby (another phenomenaldirect response marketer) took one division of Agora from $8 million to $26 million in just 15 months.
Fortunately for us, they wrote a book about how they did it.
It’s called Changing The Channel: 12 Easy Ways to Make Millions For Your Business.
The sad, funny thing is most of the people I know building businesses within the direct-response info-publishing industry won’t bother to read this book. Which boggles my mind. When Masterson published Ready, Fire, Aim: Zero to $100 Million in no time flat I jumped to get it.
Most of my marketing comrades have never bothered to read it.
They can’t find the time to listen to the advice of someone who is laying out exactly how he’s repeatedly built businesses from start-up to $5 … $10 … even $100 million .. in the industry they are working in no less.
And I watch them fall into business traps Masterson easily explained how to avoid and get out of.
Experience is the best teacher but no one ever said it always had to be your own experience.
